Following the receipt of the license certification by the Korea Customs Service on May 16, Doota Duty Free decided on the pre-opening date of May 20 in consideration of a large influx of domestic and foreign visitors to the Dongdaemun area on weekends. Imported cosmetics as well as beauty products, perfume and fashion accessories are among the goods being offered. The D-Mart, D-Beauty and D-Fashion zones are filled with Korean home appliances, cosmetics and clothing brands. Furthermore, a “Descendants of the Sun Hall” and “K-Design Hall” are decorated under the themes of the popular Korean TV drama and the Korean Wave, respectively, featuring exhibitions and souvenir shops for inbound tourists. In an effort to attract Chinese tourists and effectively promote the Doota Duty Free Store, Doota Duty Free is hosting a variety of pre-opening events, including gifts presented to customers who sign up for membership or follow Doota Duty Free on WeChat, a Chinese mobile text and voice messaging communication service. Doota Duty Free also features actor Song Joong-ki in its marketing campaign. Song has risen to superstardom in Asia after starring in “Descendants of the Sun.” Furthermore, 슬롯 머신 게임 has provided free Chinese classes to local merchants through the Dongdaemun Future Foundation. Various marketing programs, including the “365 Fashion Show” and a joint Dongdaemun marketing campaign, are currently underway to help promote “win-win growth” in the region. “We will focus on stabilizing the duty-free business and continue to attract more brands into the store to offer a wider range of products and services to customers when we have a grand opening in the second half of this year,” said an official of Doota Duty Free.
