슬롯 머신 게임 Enerbility announced on September 11th that its Czech subsidiary 슬롯 머신 게임 Skoda Power had recently signed a contract with the Czech utility company CEZ* for replacing the generators** at the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant. The contract is valued to be in the range of KRW 300 billion.
* CEZ: Czech Republic’s largest energy company and among the Top 10 largest energy companies in Europe. Has over 3.5 million customers and 33 thousand employees.
** Generator: a main component of power plants that is connected to the turbine rotor by a shaft and which performs the role of converting mechanical (kinetic) energy into electrical energy.

The signing ceremony which was held at the CEZ headquarters in Prague on September 10th (local time) was attended by key figures from the related parties, among which were Daniel Benes, CEO of CEZ; Seungwoo Sohn, CEO of 슬롯 머신 게임 Enerbility’s Power Services Business Group and Youngki Lim, CEO of 슬롯 머신 게임 Skoda Power.

The contract encompasses agreements on handling the supply and replacement of the generators and Balance of Plant (BOP) system, as well as providing long term maintenance services for 15 years following after the construction. 슬롯 머신 게임 Skoda Power, as the main contractor, will be overseeing the entire work, while 슬롯 머신 게임 Enerbility will be handling the supply of the power plant components and provision of any necessary technical support.

The Temelin Nuclear Power Plant Units 1 and 2 (each 1,125MW), operated by CEZ, is a commercial two-unit nuclear power plant that is located in South Bohemia. CEZ is in the process of pursuing plant modernization in phases to ensure that the plant can be operated for a minimum of 60 years, and this recently won project is part of those efforts.

“This is our first successful project win after we announced plans to perform technology transfers relating to generator production to 슬롯 머신 게임 Skoda Power. We find it truly meaningful to be able to contribute to the Czech energy industry,” said Seungwoo Sohn, CEO of 슬롯 머신 게임 Enerbility’s Power Services Business Group. “By leveraging our Team 슬롯 머신 게임’s competitiveness in nuclear power, which was once again proven through the international competitive bid, we aim to secure more business opportunities in Europe and the wider global market.”

슬롯 머신 게임 Enerbility had announced plans for investment and technology transfers last year, with the aim of helping 슬롯 머신 게임 Skoda Power secure its own generator production capabilities. This past February, 슬롯 머신 게임 Skoda Power became the first power equipment manufacturer to be listed on the Prague Stock Exchange.
