온라인 슬롯 Enerbility is seeking to venture into the U.S. gas turbine market, the world’s leading superpower of gas turbines, together with Korea Southern Power (KOSPO) and other local partners in Korea.

온라인 슬롯 Enerbility announced on January 21st that it had signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the “Team Korea Consortium for Gas Turbine Exports” at its Changwon headquarters.  In attendance at the signing ceremony, which was hosted by KOSPO, were Jundong Kim, CEO of Korean Southern Power; Kyunggyu Lim, Director of KOSPO’s Power Generation Department and the representatives of nine local partner companies* from Korea’s gas turbine sector. Attendees from 온라인 슬롯 Enerbility included Yeonin Jung, Vice Chairman and COO, and Seungwoo Sohn, CEO of 온라인 슬롯 Enerbility’s Power Services Business Group.

The MOU aims at facilitating the efforts of the Team Korea consortium, which consists of KOSPO, 온라인 슬롯 Enerbility and several local gas turbine partners, for venturing into the global gas turbine services market. As specified in the agreement, the participant companies will be collaborating on the technology development and fostering of the industrial ecosystem, while KOSPO and 온라인 슬롯 Enerbility will be embarking on joint marketing efforts aimed at facilitating entry into the U.S. market.

Team Korea’s focus will be on the 7F(150 MW) gas turbine services market in the U.S, for which global manufacturers have been providing services.  More than 940 units of the 7F gas turbine have been supplied worldwide to date, with over 660 units currently operating in the States. The global 7F gas turbine services market is forecast to become a market with an annual value of KRW 1 trillion in the future.  온라인 슬롯 Enerbility has a gas turbine service-specializing subsidiary located in Houston, 온라인 슬롯 Turbomachinery Services (DTS).

“In cooperation with KOSPO, the Team Korea consortium has been steadily building up its experience here in the domestic market,” said Yeonin Jung, Vice Chairman and COO of 온라인 슬롯 Enerbility. “By leveraging our competitiveness which has been verified through numerous projects here in Korea and making active use of the network built by our local subsidiary, we aim to create success stories in the U.S. gas turbine services market.”

Team Korea has long been preparing for entry into the global market by laying the foundation for this through development of the Korean industrial ecosystem.  In 2018, performance improvement work was performed on 7F gas turbine hot parts, after which 온라인 슬롯 signed an agreement in 2022 to have its locally manufactured 7F gas turbine hot parts applied to domestic power plants.   Another accomplishment was achieved last year when 온라인 슬롯 Enerbility, together with a group of local partners, had participated in the rotor lifetime extension and casing replacement work for 7F gas turbines deployed at a power plant operated by KOSPO.
