The Instrumentation and Control (I&C) is the core system of nuclear power plant, serving as brain and neural network in nuclear power plants and providing integrated management solution for operation, control, monitoring, instrumentation and emergency safety functions. IAPS is also one of the equipment of I&C.

The IAPS will be used to automatically shut down the reactor if the earthquake sensor reaches or exceeds the set value during operation of the nuclear power plant.
